He brings strong expertise in robotic system design, medical-device development, precision manufacturing, and prototyping to advance controlled, data-driven solutions for orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neurosurgical applications.

Hoori Tavana
CFO/Co-Founder 

CFO / Quality Engineering & Regulatory Affairs, RoboMed-DDI Hoori Tavana leads financial operations, quality engineering, and regulatory affairs at RoboMed-DDI. She supports the company’s business strategy, compliance planning, documentation control, and quality-system development for advanced orthopedic and neurosurgical technologies. Her role connects finance, operations, regulatory readiness, and product-quality discipline to help move RoboMed-DDI’s smart surgical attachments from concept and prototype development toward validation, commercialization, and clinical adoption.

Dr. Jan P. Szatkowski
Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Jan P. Szatkowski serves as Chief Medical Officer of RoboMed-DDI, supporting clinical strategy, surgeon feedback, and orthopedic workflow evaluation. He provides medical guidance for the development and validation of RoboMed-DDI’s smart surgical attachment technologies, including IMPO™, TITO™, Smart IMPO™, and Smart TITO™.

Jamie Rudy
Director Of Sales and Marketing

Jamie Rudy supports RoboMed-DDI’s business development, sales strategy, and commercialization efforts. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the orthopedic medical-device industry, with strong expertise in business development, market expansion, surgeon and OEM relationships, and strategic sales execution. His background includes valuable experience with leading orthopedic and medical-device companies, including DePuy Synthes / Johnson & Johnson, Pro-Dex, and Zimmer Biomet.

RoboMed-DDI is supported by KAPPA Engineering Technologies as a sister company for product development, prototyping, manufacturing, and engineering validation.

RoboMed-DDI works closely with KAPPA Engineering Technologies, its sister company, to support engineering development, prototype manufacturing, precision machining, design-for-manufacturing, testing support, and product development activities for advanced orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgical technologies.
